Introduction to AppWorks Platform

What is AppWorks Platform?
A note on product names
AppWorks Platform is a component of AppWorks.
AppWorks is a suite of tools that includes:

All businesses have processes - information that needs to be recorded, people who need to be notified of events, approvals that need to be granted...
AppWorks Platform is a set of tools to allow you to automate and manage your processes.
- With AppWorks Platform the system handles the technical details so you can focus on the business questions.
- AppWorks Platform includes tools to manage purchased applications, to develop your own applications, and to analyze process data.
- AppWorks Platform provides integration to many other systems- bridging gaps, preventing the need for duplication, and allowing automation to replace manual processes.
- End users, developers, and administrators use AppWorks Platform solutions simply by visiting web pages in their preferred desktop or mobile browsers.
Mix and match ready-made and custom-built solutions
A variety of frequently-needed functions are available in ready-to-use solutions. Install, configure, and go.
No pre-made solution that meets your needs? No problem – you can build your own using Low-code tools.
Build entirely from scratch or use a Solution Accelerator as a starting point for even speedier development.
A single AppWorks Platform system can be used for user-developed solutions, solutions built on accelerators, and complete packages solutions.
What do you need to use AppWorks Platform as an end-user, administrator, or developer?
A browser:
End users, system administrators, and developers access systems using a standard browser. No special software is required.
Building blocks make development fast and easy
AppWorks provides pre-packaged components for you to drag, drop, and configure to your needs.
Native iOS and Android app versions of your solution can be generated with only a few clicks using the optional AppWorks Gateway component.
AppWorks Platform integrates with the Magellan BI & Reporting (MBIR) component of AppWorks for reporting.
Probably optional – unless you’re the systems person.
If all I need is a browser to use AppWorks Platform, where does my data go? Great question.
